  • I gotta say, the less a developer asks me to pay extra, the more I'm likely to shell out on my own. Case in point: CDPR's Gwent. Last two expansions I bought the 20$ pre-launch pack, even though gameplay wise it's almost no boost at all. Anyone who plays the game regularly puts away enough ore for a truckload of new expansion card kegs, so the 15 kegs you get in the pre-launch offer don't really change anything in the long run. The Secret World was similar, although their business model failed in the end - I religiously bought all the little expansions. They weren't particularly good bang for your buck (usually just a few missions), but the game was subscription free, so it sort of felt natural to buy them.

  • Capitalism

  • yes

  • in Europe we are also capitalists, not socialists. Thing is that we do not sell out everything for blind greed and actually have some moral and ethical guidelines to live by.

  • Glad to have pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077 collector's edition ! :)

  • Will Bethesda have a comeback when star field and elder scrolls 6 comes out? 🤔

  • Anthem has an amazing concept although I have never played it. If I were to remake it, I'd keep the team who made the visuals but I'd want to rewrite the story and add more to the game

  • Even if Bethesda is going for Microtransactions and loot boxes, ID, MachineGames, and Arkane don't seem to have been influenced by them. Youngblood nearly had this with their boosts, but it ended up being purchasable with ordinary in game currency which can be obtainable by playing

  • capitalism

  • It's CAvill, not CaVILL. The stress should be on the first syllable

  • The outer worlds and cyberpunk are gonna be my favorite games for the next couple years and I cant wait

  • Isnt it kinda sad that its something special that Cyberpunk won´t have any Microtransaction. I mean how far went we the river down that this is considered as something special.... PS: You´re doing a good work. Keep it up (:

  • Great stuff, i subscribe to your videos, but quick question: Is it your accent that makes "microtransactions" sound like "macrotransactions" when you speak, or are you simply calling it "macrotransactions"? It always bugs my ears, as macro is something different then micro. If that is some sort of southern accent, then all respect to you for letting it show :)

  • ....To add for the Experience for the Players.... EA literally means to add more profit to their revenue, of course out of fooled gamers income. Rocket League: I own about 150-200 lootboxes - buy 5 or 10 keys for 10 bucks(?!) U get the math. I just ignore that BS - Because the Gamemechanics from RL are honest to everyone.

  • TBH game to movie does not always translate well

  • call of duty games only last for one year if that before everyone jumps ship so the exclusivity deal is rediculous and I own a PlayStation Oh well won't be buying this one anyways because they'll ruin it a few months after launch

  • The red lotus flag should be photoshopped to a blue rose flag just to tick off communist China even more. Change all red Mei art to blue Mei art just to spit on their pride.

  • Hey Legacy been keeping an eye out on your channel for Red Dead 2 content for the PC version. Followed you the entire way last year. You going to bring PC content to your channel for Rdr2?

  • Isn't the invisible Llama another lootbox though? It's more a scapegoat, where you see the odds for the first one but not the second one, so it functions the same as a lootbox as you want to spend, to see what the next invisible Llama has. From what I can tell at least.

  • As i've always said: Respect is just as important, if not more so, than money

  • warframe's is an outstanding way to monetize a free to play game you never feel like you need to spend money

  • CDPR aint all that innocent, they are still panderers

  • The Witcher 3 is not only one of the best games I've ever played, it's also one of the most generous. Back then their launch prices for dlc weren't terrible compared to usual dlc costs and even now the ENTIRE 300-600 hour collection is almost always on sale for <$20.

  • I figured out why Cyberpunk looks so impressive visually. It's all trickery. The heavy motion blur and film grain effects make trailers look awesome but actually playing games is better with both of those settings off.

  • Sorry but the are surprise mechanics nothing wrong at all

  • MICRO...not MACRO

  • Glad to see both US & UK are against this.

  • Activision are the scum of the earth, remember when the taken king dlc came out in destiny and they locked strikes and raids if u didn’t buy the dlc....

  • And yet this game appears to receive disproportionate scrutiny for political dissonance from gaming journalism, i don’t know if it’s maybe just that fact that it’s more reported and noticed when journalists hit this game because yourtubers respond, but it seems like outlets the current games journalism industry will tolerate the the industries slide into the economic exsploitation of its customers as long as they are being fed the correct social ideas. I just don’t see many outlets leading the way in anything but self righteous social impositions which don’t risk antagonising any industry group except players.

  • Someone spent 150.000 grand on micro transactions and how is that even allowed to happen in a video game.

  • Not really interested in this game but will pre order just to show support for a company who's aim is to make a good game not to rip off gamers

  • So when is this adding stuff after launch going to be illegal ? Never ?

  • Triple A, well i almost only play Indy Games or Games without ingame transactions. Little Gems like Concrete Genie and Mutant Year Zero need more room... you can feel passion from the creators when playing. Much better then hello pay 70 euro for my game and another 140 to actually have fun.

  • DAMN! THQ Doesn't always come out with the most compelling games, but my respect for them just got a massive boost. I feel like I should show my support by buying one of there ga.... oh I see what you did there THQ.. Well played, well played.

  • I wonder how long will it take for Cdpr to give into macrotransactions too, as i see it, it ain't about if, but when

  • Remember they did use the CRUNCH to finish the witcher 3. Other than that tho they're great

  • I think the companies trying to force monetisation into gaming overlooked the fact that the gaming community is uniquely vocal and digitally mobilised on platforms like FR-tv... good work, you’re saving gaming

  • I actually downloaded GoG Galaxy and started buying my games through there, just to support a good company. Anything with loot boxes I've started to steer clear of.

  • wouldn't be different pricing for same product considered a discrimination and is it not illegal to do something like that?

  • Conclusion.. boycott EA, ACTIVISION/BLIZZARD, ROCKSTAR...etc.. in fact any company that takes from the base game to sell you later!

  • I will buy on PC. I will buy on PS4 pro. I will buy on Xbox One X. Because I want to support this wonderful developer who has shown time and time again they care about ME as a consumer. CDPR is the example every dev should follow.

  • Remember when Monster Hunter: World and The Witcher 3 released and NOBODY complains about their paid extension release?

  • Electronic Sharts is the worst thing to happen to gaming. Communist Activision is a close second.

  • This is more information that needs to be put in one package to the politicans to prove loot box's need banning.

  • EA, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Activision and other greedy gaming companies: LETS USE MICROTRANSACTIONS THAT ARE DEFINITELY 100% -NOT- CORRUPTED! The People of gaming: *Shame* Gaming Companies that cares about people then money: *Shame*

  • Another youtubers ad on your vid?

  • I know it's off-topic but I can't wait to get on that sweet motorcycle in Cyberpunk 😁😁😁

  • Im very concernd that bethesda will ruin DOOM my only game i love thats hasent been destroyed and striped for money. They showed that they have skins in the game and showed bonus maps and i hope Doom dosent get targeted to be a money, buggy of a game fallout 76 was :(

  • "Wait... I can't.... I can't duck? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO AVOID GETTING SHOT? I'M RIGHT IN FRONT OF COVER!" Me playing SWBF2. This is what happens when you operate outside the player's normal schema or their toolbox. Like, I get that you can do a nifty little quick roll or whatever, but c'mon, I could've programmed that in there for literally nothing if it made the game more enjoyable.

  • Please let there be in Japan in assassin’s creed! I’ll buy it no matter the cost!

  • Very misleading title for a second I thought cyberpunk was going to have loot boxes.

  • Lmao pretending anybody with a brain compared lootboxes to baseball cards, there are other tcg where the comparison isn't so bad, pretty dishonest tbh.

  • It perplexes me how you fool people get caught up in this pointless faff from such a loungeroom lizard such as this guy. Is this all your lives are worth? Do you guys even breathe? LEAVE THE HOUSE...AND BREATHE...…...

  • I'm so glad you also pointed out the "consumers" responsible for having made this mechanics so profitable in the first place... Wait... You did point out gamers responsibility in this debacle, didn't you? Oh, you forgot... What a shame. The fault dies solely at the doors of these Corporations, the consumer is forced into buying their products. It's a disgrace, let's call the National Guard, or FEMA, to protect us from the "pencil pushers." Last time I checked EA, Activision, Bethesda, and the likes, were not sending SWAT teams into people's homes to force them to buy their shit. Oh, and about the children, of course, the same shit as with every other topic... Think of the children. Well, how in the fuck are children getting thousands of $$$ to spend online in the first place? Isn't there supposed to be a thing called Parenting? Aren't adults supposed to educate their children on general values, the value of money, taking responsibility for their own actions, and becoming responsible adults? As the father of four kids who grew up in the digital age (who would be perceived as financially rich, whatever that means), I never once had a single issue with any of my kids. On the other hand, none of my kids would ever have access to thousands of $$$ to spend online. As for the "gaming community"... Give me a moment, I need to stop laughing in order to type. You see that FIFA19 Boycott? I happen to be a very good FIFA player (generally in the top 100 in NA and in Europe, depending on where I'm at). We had a voluntary agreement between about 200 content creators and players not to buy a single "FIFA Pack"... After a week of FIFA19 being released only 3 people kept their word. One of the "repented ones" went as far as spending £15,000 in FIFA Packs (that would be around $20,000). That's the "people" we are dealing with. EA did not make anyone buy their packs, to this day, already in FIFA20, I and the other two guys, who have kept our word, as was the norm in my time, have never bought a single FIFA Pack... EA didn't have has killed, they didn't rob us, they didn't go into our bank accounts. On the contrary, I have EA Access, and Origin Access, which cost the same as a AAA game ($80, if I'm not mistaken), and I can freely play 4 AAA games every year, without spending a single penny. Listen, I understand where you are coming from, and I support your stance, however, don't let "gamers" off the hook and put all responsibility on these Corporations... They do it because "people" not only support these practices but, in many cases, go out of their way to "shame" gamers that do not have the "special items" they used their credit cards to get. Yes, gamers are, at the end of it all, the main culprits for us having this despicable, broken Industry. I do hope we get an implosion, like in the 90s, and every one of these Corporations goes out of business. Personally, I have nothing against anyone... A company has a product to sell, the consumer decides if he wants to buy it or not (this year's CoD is predicted to break all records in the gaming industry, despite everyone knowing the Macro Shitstorm it will be, after about two weeks). Is Activision making all these people buy their shitty, broken game? Well, are they? My only concern here is that a far more pernicious entity than these Corporations is waiting in the shadows, that entity is called Government. Once the Government gets involved in anything, like a very bad infectious disease, it will never go away... Soon it will be dictating what content is allowed and what content must be crushed. Soon after, games will become just another propaganda machine for Government Agendas. That's my only concern, Cheers.

  • i spent 150 pounds on warframe no regrets

  • A statement was released by a game dev that Modern Warfare won’t include loot boxes, but a battle pass system. I really want to believe them, but they’ve given us no reason to do so.

  • there is no problem to put a "pay" wall ON FREE TO PLAY games, you know... maybe you don't know but, years ago we had "demos" they were much more limited (a waaaay more) so, its not problem to put a wall on free to play games, you know, developers needs to eat, like you and me...

  • No transactions in a FIFA game BS at it's finest

  • Petition for us all to BUY cyberpunk 2077 at FULL PRICE on launch on GOG to show our support for CD projekt red. I am going to, who else is?

  • With all the protest and backlash and people still not getting the picture...I find it very hard to remotely feel sorry for players that keep buying these titles, FIFA, COD, Battlefield, Fallout 76, Ghost Recon, constructed from the ground up to suck money out of them. Is it wrong YES but my god man just don't play these games

    • I hope you realize y'all crying about mt's are a vocal minority, that's why these games do well because most people don't care, p2w is the area more people draw the line, btw you ever played battlefield? I have issues with the series as it is but it's not packed with mt's 🤣

  • Cdpr is best big company only Russians out of Slavic developers act like EA gajin gredtainment as example of Russian greed others threat you like humans like scum good game and devs actually listen

  • Gamers made NBA 2K20 (that casino game where you can also play basket ball) the best selling game this year. A L L H O P E I S G O N E ! ! !

  • Because Money xD

  • Id still rather battlefront 2 than cyberpunk 2077

  • to be fair every star wars property features a white protagonist apart from some comics maybe, it has all turned out pretty bland really even with all the token characters supporting them. at least if you're gonna cast a white character make them interesting, also don't cast characters of other ethnicity just because you have to or a female just because you have to, MAKE THEM INTERESTING

  • wouldn't it be amazing if CD Projekt Red did something like make a zone in the game world where loot boxes are the bain of the city( online ), addicted gamers gather to this area and keep buying loot boxes with real money, But the money earned through the micro transactions is given to cancer research or another noble cause, now that would be a fucking cool thing to do. I can think of a few ways this could be an amazing mission in the game where you could have many choices, weather to destroy that area or to keep it. Some moral choices to be made. .,., . Just a thought :)

  • CDProjektRED❤️

  • One thing that excites me about this is that when the new Saints Row game drops there likely won't be any of that microtransaction bs like in GTA 5.

  • Fallout funeral date announced: October 25th Outer Worlds... 🙃

  • Dude you need to stop kissing CD Projekts ass. Every video you throw comments in about how glorious they are even when the topic has nothing to do with them. I am also excited for cyber punk and so far CD projekt has been moving in the right direction but you talk of them as if they are god. Their PR team jumps onto any bit of news to say "look how bad they are and look how good we are" in getting tired of it. I just want the game and for them to deliver on promises. Please man just tone it down.

    • I do want to add that if cyber punk comes out and CD projekt deliver on all they promised then I would be 100 percent behind your comments but untill then it's just talk from them.

  • The thing that annoys me is, the person has to make the decision to pay. They have to click and commit. If people where just sticking retarded. None of this would be a problem. Yes developers are "A" problem, but stupid consumers are "THE" problem

  • I'm Glad not pre order cyberpunk

  • Cd will have them, they're just getting people on their side so they buy the game. All Devs say they won't have them until the game comes out, then, surprise! Lootboxes.

  • Simply publishers like EA looked for quick big money. It has blown back against them because not all gamer's are dumb, or at least have a friend who isn't dumb so they are not buying something that is fucked up with monetization. CDPR was smart to realize the long term goal of consistent steady money by being honest and reasonable. THANKS!

  • Let 2020 be the year ea activision or bethesda dies. The complete directors board and investors from these companies should be hanged and killed.

  • Well said Michael ! Shared,liked.

  • Triple A 3rd party games are gonna end up taking a hit. We'll be looking to 1st party for our Triple A gaming.

  • we dont mind it at all if it's all about cosmetics and not a random chance of cosmetics we would for sure buy those kind of boxes. Just like Path of exile which is pretty success of at it. What we dont want in a game is it being a pay 2 win and or unable to progress through the content without buying specific set of item.

  • CP2077 is going to be great if they have plans for it similar to The Wild Hunt! Can't wait for real

  • No, RDR2 is the game of this generation. No debate.

  • The day the video games industry goes straight digital and offers DLC/microtransaction for content that obviously should have been in the game, they will lose a DAY ONE video game fan, player, collector, and an avid video game supporter!!! TEST ME!

  • Yaar tum logo ko Har baar koi bhi game lete ho tab hamesa koi EA jesi company tum logo ko Pura ka Pura chuthiya banajati he..... Galti tum logo ki Kyoki tum logo ne apne saar per Betha rakha he......

  • you know what else gives odds, all other gambling.

  • They literally made an A.I to try and get you to spend money. That is so fucking evil.

  • dude you make good content! I will leave a like just for that, but stop asking for it in every video! It is a outdated and annoying habit on FR-tv, not just your channel! Friendly advice from a honest listener!

  • Only Ubisoft game i like is pretty much assassin's creed i loved AO so much i hardly noticed the grind Im not sayin what they did was right but im just sayin

  • It's simple really. Is there an EA/Activision game that you enjoy playing solo? Just find a pirated version online and voila. No multiplayer of course, but hey, you get to play the game, and you don't give these dirt bags a dime. Full profit if you ask me.

  • Witcher 3 sucks

  • I don't get why people see cards differently too lootboxes other tban the cards are better value, I don't like card packs for the same reason I don't like lootboxes there is no guarantee I'll get something I want and card packs don't have a system to prevent duplicates since that just isn't possible

  • Warframe actually bans and silences people across all chat systems if anyone says something they dont like. Reminds me of something that happened recently...hmm

  • I can tell you that i don't find it fun. It's especially frustrating for those of us that don't want to spend money. So fuck you ea.

  • White background at the left side with some writings and on the right side a controversial picture , Ok legacykilla have uploaded a video

  • Ironically, adding no monetization will give them more money than those who do use it, AND you get a shit-ton of +rep. I feel like the developers at CDPR are ACTUAL gamers, not corporate business men in it for money. THEY have passion, OTHERS have greed. I hope to one day become a 3D Animator for them once I graduate (or after....way after lol).

  • The term "macrotransaction" is extremely cringey and really sucks that otherwise good videos have this annoying term ham fisted into it

  • Did anyone else see Bobby and think of Waternoose?

  • CDPR makes top tier videogames and has the moral high ground. I love them and the fact, that they spread the idea of a reasonable gaming company. We may would've lost this concept without a few companies like them, or for example paradox (witch now support my fav game Stellaris for almost 4 years with content and huge updates). I even bought a Cyberpunk t-shirt, the first gaming shirt I wear since like 10 years ago.

  • Someone actually spent two million dollars on a mobile game? Not even a console or PC game, a *mobile game* ?! You people need help.

  • I simply won't play games anymore. I'm not going to be fucking milked for cash. I've never paid for a lootbox in my life. The moment they appeared, I could instantly tell that game mechanics changed for the worse.

  • You still sound like an idiot every time you say "macro-transactions" its not catching on.

  • I hope CDPR wont become Anakin Skywalker of the gaming industry. They give us hope in these dark, grim days....
