    • 69 likes *nice*

    • ALSO, CRUSH OR CHEW HARD VITAMINS , THE BINDERS SOMETIMES PREVENT COMPLETE DIGESTION WHEN TAKEN WHOLE!!!

    • 5 mg OR HIGHER DOSE OF VITAMIN B1 EACH DAY WILL REPEL MOSQUITOES. TAKE A B - COMPLEX MULTIVITAMIN EACH DAY WITH AT LEAST 5mg B1(THIAMINE) . YOU WILL PRODUCE A SCENT THAT IS REPULSIVE TO MOSQUITOES!!! NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT SHIRT COLOR OR CITRONELLA CANDLES!!!

    • @Dave Jan VITAMIN B1 (THIAMIN) is the key. If you take a multivitamin with B1 , you will produce a scent that is repulsive to mosquitoes and undetectable to humans. I'm "O" type blood and mosquitoes used to bite me frequently. Since I've started the B1 , nothing!

    • @Haley Cardoso because the right leg is the right leg.

  • Ok... so i either get stung by bees wearing bright clothes or wear dark clothes and get bit by mosquitoes.

  • Thanks so much!

  • Me, a band child: haha I'm in danger

  • I'm just gonna sit inside my ring of anti mosquito traps, which is inside the humming bird feeder ring that is covered in spider webs in my bio hazard suit

  • why did I not hear any theory about the possible connection between bug repellent and what makes them come to you. like how venom something used to kill or incapacitate has been reversed to do the opposite. why not look into bug repellent and see how it keeps them from finding us possibly showing us how they find to begin with

  • Mosquitos ussually stay away from me

  • The carbonation in beer is produced by CO2 so my guess is that is the attractant

  • Tired of being human? Become a plant!

  • So what do you do for a living? I place bowls of sweat in a wind tunnel and then watch to see if mosquitoes will fly toward them. Somebody pays me to do this.

  • I'll stop breathing then

    • No I will get rid of my blood

  • Last mosquito that bit me had to check into The Betty Ford Clinic

  • THEORY of Evolution

  • What if they land on darker objects because they themselves are a dark colour? Less about their target being visible and more about the mosquitoes themselves being camouflaged while doing their thing?

  • why cant we extinct them?

  • Nice to see someone sympathetic for women for a change. And for christs sake, stop farting

  • Is it possible to make all mosquitoes extinct ? I’d prefer for them to all just die, I don’t see their purpose

  • Having a blood filled circulatory system is probably a big attraction.

  • wha- the scrap job I have requires us to wear dark colors 😭😭😭😭😭😭 FML

  • Pro tip: just don't breathe and mosquitos won't bite you

  • Some day modified mosquitoes will kill a lot more people than anything ! Hopefully just the evil ones

  • Hank, you are, by far, my favorite scishow host! I am glad to hear that modified mosquitoes are being created, lol. You all should do a video on starlings, and how to eradicate them :)

  • In thailand mosquito season is every season

  • 10:28 Science proves people are cooler when drinking alcohol! Ha! Take that all you naysaying teetotallers!

  • 🙏

  • My skeeter dodge . . . stay inside.

  • I live in the 12th floor apartment. I was wondering how a few, but annoying, mosquitoes manage to get in as they can't fly that high and what I can do to prevent it

  • *I THINK MOSQUITOES ARE TRYING TO HELP PEOPLE SUCK OUT ANY SICKNESS BUT WE ALL MISINFORMLY KEEP SWATTING THEM AWAY RESULTING IN AN UNFINISHED JOB SO THAT'S WHY THE SICKNESSES ARE ACCIDENTALLY TRANSFERRED, WE ARE MESSING WITH THE PROCESS.*

  • *I swear everytime I'm travelling to* *country with a large population of* *mosquitoes they be all wating for me* *in* *The airport to give me kisses of death*

  • And that is where H1N1 and all the other bad viruses came from labratorie built them not nature

  • the alcohol thing can be explained easlly....the mosquitos just want to get drunk , that all folks :D

  • I am a mosquito magnet. However, I haven't gotten any mosquito bites this year. I'm skeetos on the endangered species list like bumblebees

  • Are we really that good at genetic engineering why can’t that help with diseases and conditions

  • im sorry but this guy- john greene who

  • 14:24 minutes of carefully and comprehensively informing me of how screwed I am 😂 even possible solution come with "yes but this won't save u" 😆

  • Body soap and shampoo and perfumes and sweet food. Perfumes for clothes.

  • the only thing I've found that works is to grow a very excess amount of citronella plants placing them kinda like a fence around my porch. My porch is 10x10×8 and including the hanging baskets I have 30 citronella plants 5 on the ground 5 in the air on all 3 open sides. I also have them planted in my garden but not in as much excess there is 1 garden bed to the left and right of my porch mostly comprised of lavender, marigolds, lemon balm, basil and citronella plants. All of which are mosquito repelling. My backyard is the only place I can stay outside and not get eaten alive but even still if I spend too much time tword the edge of the yard I start getting bitten again but only if I'm out on the edge for an hour or more. When the plants I can't bring in die when the season is over I juice them to make mosquito candles for the following mosquito season.

  • Alcohol lowers the viscosity of blood making things easier to flow, maybe causing the skin to deposit more volatile compounds than usual?

  • no mosquitos YOU CANT SUCC MY *LIFE JUICE*

  • 👌I got more mosquitoe hoes then actual bros.👌

  • Time to put on a mirror

  • We have mosquitoes all year long🙂🙂

  • 1- existing

  • Move to Hawaii - problem solved.

  • Number 5, Alcohol thins the blood. Easier meal for the mosquito. Maybe closet alcoholics. Lol

  • Finding that mosquitoes land on darker surfaces even when termperature is the same is NOT proof that they don't seek warm surfaces; they're programmed to seek dark colors after generations of such surfaces' being warmer. This is an example of how hard it can be to structure an experiment with no holes in it. "All things being equal" is tougher to achieve in biology than in physics; those darned variables, always testing your claim to empirical clarity, solid results. The cleverest ones find a way to measure better, if not perfectly, to derive important detail even as a bigger picture remains vague. We're always chasing; we'll never "catch" complete understanding, tho observation and quantum computers will take us far.

  • Thats why i love the fall and winter, I know it's cold but the good thing is no mosquitos or flies are buzzing around

  • Slower pace (ie walking) = more bites. Running lessens bite success.

  • Mosquitos like dark surfaces? That explains Africas mosquito problem

  • “Wearing dark clothing” *Cries in African American*

  • I mean if I don't touch the bite when I get it, it goes away in a few hours. Edit: There was this one time where I was at a mosquito infested house (someone left the door open and they got in). While we vacuumed, swatted, and burned most of them I woke dripping in sweat and pretty covered in bites. I assume there's an extent to which my body could've gained a sort of immunity to bites. I also now realize I should've maybe seen a doctor afterwards but oh well.

  • Can't we just exterminate them? Humans seem to be awfully good at making species go extinct, why not put that to good use?

  • I’ve been bitten so many times by these damn Asian tiger mosquitoes that I’ve become immune to the itch 😤😤

  • I can wear less black (I’ll have to go shopping but I can do that) but I can’t make myself less sweaty. I don’t have any other risk factors but I’m still a mosquito magnet

  • This clown was very careful to use language to support his radical Left-Wing agenda BUT he Fcked it up!!!! When talking about a pregnant woman he said _"a fetus is growing inside of you"_ instead of the OBVIOUS *"there's a BABY growing inside of you!"* but then he slipped up when talking about the mosquitoes, he said "They Nourishing their Eggs" then "You will be helping all the Baby Momma's out there"

  • This guy is so not funny that I want to punch him in the face! He is like the dude with the guitar in Animal House!!!

  • Mosquito's rock!

  • I used to be a mosquito magnet, but this summer i rarely got a bite... could someone explain ?

  • One time I got 10 (yes I counted) bites on one arm. Hell.

  • it' SUGAR! how did you guys not put this on your list? When you eat a lot of sugar, the mosquitos can smell it, and you'll get bitten way more. That's why they liked the people who had drank alcohol. it's sugar. I cant believe this wasn't on your list!
