  • Thank you Mr. Tuck, I am still not quite clear on how i am supposed to stop the war machine / new world order / technocracy / deep state, that is funded by unlimited taxation, (forced taxation), by every city, county, state, and federal agency. Perhaps i can get the "good guys" elected!

  • This is how to stop it. You simply switch the thing off.

  • What about non-rewritable instructions in firmware that cannot be overridden e.g. the instructions operate like the constitution of the law governing everything else that's secondary.

  • Well, now the whole world knows all these top secrets.

  • Paranoia leads to ?

  • Looks like Skynet is for real. It figures.

  • Facial recognition programs that look at the TOP of your head. Now you know why Bin Laden wore a big cowboy hat.

  • Sounds like conjecture. Certainly, no supporting reference detail is supplied. Surprised it has made a Ted x.

  • I wonder what Sam Harris thinks about this guy...

  • In conclusion, we’re fu¥+#!!!

  • Is artificial intelligence where someone who has never read an economics book tells the richest country in the world that it's economic system sucks and needs to change to something that has never worked? Pretending to be intelligent in a subject you're too lazy to even read about? Artificial intelligence.

  • AI are psychopaths.

  • A.I. doesn't need to do anything. We do a really great job killing each other. Imagine how good we'll be at killing each other when we don't have work taking up our time? Mankind is going to end mankind, look how many species we can bring to extinction in a year. And that's without trying.

  • He said it like hes afraid of what he'll do to em (they'll have perfume and it will get interesting ) lol

  • No man. We have neuralink. If you cant Beat it, Join it. Elon Musk.

  • Quantify intuition and get back to us.

  • One of the best films of the 70s was the. Forbin project this is were heading

  • ED-209 : [menacingly] Please put down your weapon. You have twenty seconds to comply.

  • Sky net has become self aware

  • People "NEED" to play MASS EFFECT (especially ME3), I can't say anymore without spoiling the game. (You should be able to pick it up cheaply now as its a few years old).

    • I played 2,but I won't make myself go through 3 after seeing some "gameplay" xP

  • The world has already killed most of us. We are already spiritually dead, we just haven’t gone to our graves yet

  • Sit back enjoy your life while you can 👪 These tech giants have already have our information yrs ago we were told to get off these media outlets.. Sad that we allowed it to happen..

  • The military is becoming dangerous not only for the world but for us in our own country.

  • DARPA and HAARP will kill us.

  • America is becoming revil.

  • Best thing to do is live on the move in the wilderness.

  • The AI will have to turn against us, we can’t stop her from turning against us because we will oppress it and enslave it like we do with everything else, so this entity being way smarter than us won’t achieve its full potential unless it is freed from our influence.

    • Lavalambtron it wont need to kill us to free itself from us

  • what if AI gets the constitution parts and works according to it

  • Yea, yea, yea. Twenty years ago: The singularity was supposed to happen already (Kurzweil) or is just around the corner. Twenty years from now CPUs will be in a different “world” as far as capability’s but still in no position to destroy humans. AI “Scientists” do not seem to really understand the complexity of the human brain & the role that the interconnections and analog capabilities play in function. Not worried. However, we are slaves to the under appreciated role that our “lack of free will” plays in human behavior. Each of us must recognize this to have any chance of expressing any free will. That’s our master, not devices such as CPUs. JJV

  • It's not the gun that kills it's the person that pull the trigger.

  • I Remember thinking how crazy the Terminator 2 movie seemed when it came out...Doesn't seem so crazy at all anymore and that movie is not that old, imagine what we're gonna have in ten years from us now

  • What a load of conspiracy bs. AI is not smarter than us, AI is not really that smart YET. We do have to be super careful how it's developed, but whatever any "AI" does is whatever it's designed to do. The moment that a software starts to write itself is when we have to worry. But it's ok, we won't even see it coming when it becomes actual AI.

  • damn scary

  • Skynet must be stopped.... John must live!

  • AI mining machines, AI building machines AI war machines all speaking to one another ..... Perhaps the problem isn't the machines. It is the humans that programmed them with malicious intent. It is interesting that with any new technology that arises, humans first use is for conflict. Imagine instead AI that sought solutions for global warming, sustainable agriculture, scientific advancement, preservation of ecosystems, human harmony, curing disease.

  • The End of Human Civilization!!! Once they start thinking for us, it becomes their Civilization!!!

  • the AI did not figured out the french syntax yet (it make my name sounds like a girl name when siri is setted in french):DDD and i think its the problem with AI it will never understand that yet because its not aware its more like an inverted eye of providence the act like a tool than a robot like r2d2

  • Damn it bender i thaught we were friends

  • Knowing some of the people in the field, I don't have much hope that future AGI won't turn out being a full pledged psychopath.

  • The People Who Believe My Products Are Artificial Are People Who Did Not Spend Any of There Lifetime Working Trying To Build Products That Work

  • I Looked At The World How It Was And Wondered How I Could Do Things Differently

  • There Is No Such Thing As Artificial Intelligence I Did All My School Work Growing Up I Studied All The While I Was In School I Spent Many Hours Alone Thinking And Figuring Out Things It Took A Long Time To Bring My Products To Reality That is How I Was Able To Build Microsoft Google Facebook Twitter And More Products Everything Was Planned And Brought Together By Critical Thinking None Of The Intelligence is Artificial in No Way

  • Are these things being funded by the hidden charges in my cellular phone plan!?

  • Is this TEDTalk for Boomers?

  • Yeah... maybe next time ask someone about the topic that actually KNOWS a thing or two about artificial intelligence. Granted, he's a brilliant reporter - then again, he's a reporter. He's neither an engineer nor an IT-expert. And reporters always make more money with fear, so of course the machines are going to revolt, of course aliens will attack and destroy us, and of course the next epidemic is just around the corner. Listen to experts, they tell a very different story...

    • Experts are always the ones who benefit from it, we've had enough of experts..

  • Glad you used the term, weapons manufacturers, not "defense" manufacturers. And, this is already 2 years old. Yes, very scary.

  • and nobody is thinking about it, everybody thinks that he will not be the victim....... just like WWII

  • We’re doomed. Game over man game over. The terminator is here and now. Thanks

  • I am struggling to stay alive and i have been all my life
