  • real i love this show andThe only show without ads Keep going

  • I worked the census the last time & there were a few households that did not want to give me their information. I'd imagine there will be many more this time. In fact, I may refuse to offer my information simply because I can't stands Herr Drumpf!

  • Do you think Trump goes to a place to get his haircut or like it’s home visits you know And the barber does his hair the way likes it and Trump talks about his problems being a president and with Melania and the barber gives his advice as best as he can because he’s a barber

  • My name is Mr Blarfingar! Spelled, Smith. It was changed on Ellis Island.

  • In Australia the census website crashed.

  • Hamsters in Tiny Speedos...oh geeze. :-D

  • Rip juice

  • Wow. A republican tried to suppress the minority vote? I feel faint.

  • The Man in the High Castle is no fiction, it happened, just less obvious at the time, but more and more visible today.

  • 2:30 please, please, add her using a toothpick and her tooth sparkle. This image cries for this ;P

  • Look, I get it. Trump is an idiot. Republicans are regularly fiddling with things, attempting to consolidate power. But it is painful to watch people assume that the Democrats AREN'T also corrupt to the core and always trying to consolidate power. They're politicians too. They're ALSO guilty of gerrymandering. They're the other end of the same crap-covered stick. They're taking advantage of all of us. And they've done an excellent job of distracting a significant portion of populace into thinking that Republicans are the only problem. It's amazing how hypocritical people are, and how short their memories are when it comes to recognizing the corruption that permeates both parties. Until people stop cheering at emotionally-charged grandstanding so they can feel self-righteous and virtue signal, the pendulum is going to continue swinging between to piles of garbage. Right now, it's the republicans. We oust them from office, and things turn to crap again under a Democrat-led government. Then people vote back in the terrible republicans because they forgot how terrible they were, ad nauseum. It's depressing.

  • Good news!

  • 13:09 I absolutely HATE those misleading photos of doctors and politicians. Like this "redistrictig" guy. His photo shows a well-groomed man in a slightly wrinkled suit who you would politely uninvite to a dinner. In reality he is an angry dwarf with fluffy hair and a round fat face. WHY do you let photographers do this to you!? Can't you see disappointment on people's faces when they meet you in person?!

  • I have never been asked questions by a census, I'm 30.

  • It's hard to count certain people, as mentioned - homeless people living on the streets, illegal immigrants, fugitives, and people living off-grid.

  • Hey, John Oliver, you're doing a great job. That being said, do a episode about homelessness and the effects it has on everyone and the demographics affected the most from homelessness you dingus. Come on. Do it. Do it you dingus. You look like a mix of a toucan, a skiddish owl and a banana. Come on banana bird man talk about homelessness. Research how the DAV might play a part you birdnana man. You look like you need help eating pancakes. Come on you nerd.

  • Im starting this video now wondering what the us census could possibly be doing wrong Edit from after video: racism, shoulda guessed

  • Census worker ask my friend, Did anyone commit a crime against you, did anyone try to commit s crime against you, did anyone threaten to commit a crime against you, She was supposedly a censuses worker? She asked her that question seven times? Which is weird for a census worker to ask?

  • Do an Article about KVC privetized child welfare services. And it's sketchy business practices. Especially in the State of Kansas... They claim to operate on a "it's for the children" census-based Count largely on children under 5years old. That are either non-counted or go uncounted... But that's only a sliver of their problems. They create a catch 22, for families that have taken their children away, mostly, cause we're not rich, or influencial enough to handle our own. When my siblings were taken away from my biological father, and his wife at the time. By law they weren't *Required to notify anyone else besides the grandparents... Whom we're both growing older and sustaining more medical issues. My grandmother passed away earlier this year2019. The last time she saw her grand kids was when the youngest just came out of diapers. I believe, there is a huge lack and oversight missing from this entire system. Wtf. People. So I need to right your wrongs?

  • "It's illegal to disclose identifying census information" Yeah, see, that's nice and all, but our government at the moment is also _incredibly lawless_ . Spanky has taught us that he is not above breaking the law, and none of his goons are, either, so I could totally see why nobody finds reassurance in knowing whether it's legal or not to share that information. We're also alive during a time when it seems like EVERYbody is getting caught doing illegal shit, and walking away from it scot-free, because apparently American laws don't apply to those who are rich.

  • Sex? Yes please

  • I love Tacos on the whiteboard? (16:00)

  • Everyone should put White as their race. That makes it impossible to jerry-rig counties and towns. I, as a mixed race person of color even put White" on my driver's licence.

  • In Netherlands , Census is automated , as Wikipedia states : "The census that was planned for 1981 was postponed and later cancelled. A call for privacy was responsible for the cancellation of any further census since 1991. Censuses are being conducted by the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek since 1899. The censuses today are mostly (population, fiscal) register based, combined with surveying." All information are in Personal Records Database ( www.government.nl/topics/personal-data/question-and-answer/what-information-is-in-the-personal-records-database ).

  • Libertarians are adults who physically grew up without mentally developing.

  • Man I really hope she ate her baby too. But I just think it's more likely that they grew up, oh damn.

  • My history teacher showed this to us in class in high school. And now everyone in my class is saying "Mickey Mouse is on cocaine"!! LMAO

  • And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

  • The comments in here are almost as good as the whole segment!

  • The people that are obnoxious to census workers are the same ones that have an entire FR-tv channel devoted to vlogging their local police station and harassing people at their job for hours "because it's their right".

  • If the Latinos are worried about answering a citezenship question then obvioslu they shouldnt be here anyway bc they r ILLEGAL

  • Wow, so my president just confused the census with a home appraisal 🤣

    • @Issac Oshen I couldn't agree more 😣

    • # 1 seriously I think he’s mentally challenged. Which would be fine if he wasn’t our leader! 😒

  • If the minorities are citizens then how does a citizenship question suppress them?

  • I worked for the Census in 2010 and one house I visited, the guy kept me there for an hour just bitching that one, they only scared about the sp*cs in my town and that he didn't want his tax dollars going to paying for me to harass him. I remember leaving his porch and thinking "You gripe about how much this costs, and you made it cost just a little bit more." because that entire encounter was a billable hour.

  • Funny how people think they are so important and that the government is after them. They only want to know who lives in the country, and if for some reason they needed your private info they already have it.

  • 14:44 The things John will still make me google are the scariest ones.

  • Citizenship question - "It's against the law" Lol. As if el presidente cared about the law.

  • "I knicked the census man"!

  • I worked the 2010 Census in a site set up for that reason. A 73 yr old woman working in the field physically going door to door was killed by a pack of dogs. Another Census Worker was attacked by a man with an ax. A Census Worker was invited into a woman's home and had a gun pulled on him. Census work can be dangerous, there has always been a problem with illegal communities hiding and not wanting to be counted, but they want the social service benefits that participating in the Census count affords communities which produces a shortfall for all the needy, which is not fair in my opinion. But what trump and ross are doing is to out non-citizens, it is true none of the personal Census information on individuals can be reported to anyone for 72 years.....you are so funny John.

    • @Stephen2462 you are missing the point of the Census they allocate funding for all states schools, social services, etc. If a city or state's citizens are miscounted that state loses funding for those services, so you have a family of illegals getting what services there are, they come first if of Latin or Hispanic descent. When I worked the Census it was 300 trillion dollars allocated to all states by citizen count over a ten year period. A correct count is important for every state getting a fair share to help there indigent and children population, helps pay school lunches, free breakfast, ebt, medical, and financial help for those in need. Don't lump me in with trump, but I do know about working for the Census and how important it is to have a correct count of all people in this country.

    • Whether they participate in the census or not wouldn't effect their ability to receive benefits. I'm not sure if you're co predicting yourself, or admitting you think Trump will do blatantly unetheical things with it.

  • the TDS on this show is just to damn hi !! ...

    • @horizontal120 That's debatable. IMO, the media puts more attention on it because he's more obvious about it, and because the resulting drama sells papers. Trump's presidency as a whole got super old super fast.

    • @Stephen2462 he is just as shit as all the previous ones !!! but all the media has TDS .. and it is getting SUPPER OLD super FAST !!!!

    • It's not JO's fault Trump is such a terrible president.
