John Blane (James Brolin) and Peter Martin (Richard Benjamin) face the Gunslinger (Yul Brynner) once more, but this time, things go off script.
Welcome to Westworld, where nothing can go wrong...go wrong...go wrong....Writer/director Michael Crichton has concocted a futuristic "Disneyland for adults", a remote resort island where, for a hefty fee, one can indulge in one's wildest fantasies. Businessmen James Brolin and Richard Benjamin are just crazy about the old west, thus they head to the section of Westworld populated by robot desperadoes, robot lawmen, robot dance-hall gals, and the like. Benjamin's first inkling that something is amiss occurs when, during a mock showdown with robot gunslinger Yul Brynner, Brolin is shot and killed for real. It seems that the "nerve center" of Westworld has developed several serious technical glitches: the human staff is dead, and the robots are running amok. Suddenly promoted to the film's hero, Benjamin (who seems as surprised and shocked as the audience) must first avoid, then face down the relentless Brynner. Much of Westworld was lensed on the expansive grounds of the old Harold Lloyd estate in Beverly Hills, so it's no surprise that there's something Lloydlike about Dick Benjamin's instinct for self-preservation.

  • Hasta la vista, baby

  • he is creepy!

  • One of my favorite scenes still to this day top 10 supervillain

  • This film seems (from the comments) to be well-liked, even tho most viewers now constantly complain about how slow films used to be----and this one is really slow, in the pacing of scenes, the action and editing. Wonder why it gets a pass? (Glad it does. I have no special love of so-called "fast" movies. If the drama and/or visual/auditory interest is there, I'm into it even if it's very slow. In fact, a slower pace often allows one to better savor the moment, in my opinion.)

  • Way ahead of its time, Brynner rocked!

  • Yul Brynner is like the last gunslinger you duel with on Gun Blood.

  • Yul Brynner looks more like a robot than any CGI robot. Amazing...

  • They need to remake this movie but use dinosaurs. That would be cool.

  • He could have been a good T-1000

  • Yul Brynner had such a Deep Voice.

  • 1:12 scares me for some reason. That quick movement is so jarring.

  • I so would like to see this movie again. It"s been 40 years since I caught it on television.

  • He is the SKYNET'S MODEL 100

  • Best part of the movie. Gunslinger KNOWS it'll be different this time.

  • That didn't end well for james Brolin, he should ask for a refund.

  • Now I see how Arnold got his inspiration but I think Robert Patrick's performance was better

  • Produção ousada para a época

  • My only problem with this film was Brolin getting killed. Richard Benjamin did a poor acting job in this and doesn't have any appeal at all. He should have been killed instead.

  • Yah Brunner is the best Terminator!! I hope I spelled his name right 🤙

  • rowBUTTs

  • @ the dislikers: draw

  • major malfunction brothers petticoat junction scott dougjody mike

  • "Oh...come on. Not now, not you again. It's too early!" *LOL!*

  • You Say Something Boy?!

  • 1:41 Kissing the dust.

  • It's just a glitch.

  • I remember being a kid at the video store staring at the cover for this movie. Wondering why a robot is inside a cowboy and what kid of movie it was. I wasn't disappointed after watching it..

  • This looks like nothing to me.

  • This is Terminator Salvation alternate ending with John being killed by a Terminator

  • terminator and robocop se copiaron

  • Doesn't look like anything to me

  • Never understood how many people used to pronounce robot as "row-butt" back then.

  • 53 yo Yull brynner.

  • Funny how cowboys just take this as a normal thing

  • He says robot like zoidberg

  • He got shot with ketchup.

  • Grandissimo e ineguagliabile youl brinner. Non ci sarà mai più un attore come te .riposa in pace .

  • Yup Brenner's intelligent, stern presence was spot on in this film. On the other hand... In this clip James Brolin's half-hearted expression and action/reaction to what just happened is less than convincing. Nevertheless, from this scene onward the tension keeps rising. A classic film of dystopia.

  • Yul Brenner, the robot Gunslinger, smiles from a face as cold as ice and eyes that glitter like frost.

  • What? U aint think he was gone get his lick back😂

  • I love this scene 😍

  • 2:09 Human Zoidberg

  • So,the Skynet produces some prothotypes,huh

  • I remember seeing this movie as a kid on t.v. YUL BRYNNER playing the evil gun slinger with those sliver eye's scared the crap out of me..😨😨😱

  • I love this film.

  • Wake up Lieutenant!

  • Let's Assume U & Ur Partner Come Across The Same Gunslinger 🔫 Agn... Patiently Waitin... The Word Draw... Wat Do U Do.......

  • I always wondered from medieval world, why give the robots real swords? That was an accident waiting to happen. And how did the gunslinger get real bullets?

    • In Medieval World the robots would've been programmed not to actually touch or harm the guests with their weapons, only other robots. In Westworld, once the virus took over the system, the guns sensors went berserk as well leaving both the robots and their guns able to cause harm.

  • one of my first memories at the movies as a kid. One of the most shocking too. Well, until JAWS scared the crap out of me a year later.

  • Why would they give the robots real guns?

  • "and so we enter end game"

  • So, i've read that John Carpenter was also inspired by this android creating Michael Myers.

  • What an intense scene !

    • If you've never seen the film, this scene is the real turning point, the suspense and tension really kick off from this point on.

  • Sweet😊

  • like when you play escape from tarkov and you think the npcs were gonna be easy

  • 1:12 I think that's not supposed to happen...... But I'm not sure...

  • Wow, love how it’s similar to the Westworld show.
